Migrate WordPress Media from Amazon S3 to Cloudflare R2

This Pro workflow moves existing WordPress media from Amazon S3 to Cloudflare R2 while the source remains authoritative until destination verification succeeds.

Steps

1. Create the R2 bucket and API token in Cloudflare.
2. Keep the Amazon S3 profile as the source profile.
3. Create a Cloudflare R2 destination profile and test the connection.
4. Start migration in batches from S3 to R2.
5. Resume if interrupted; completed work is tracked.
6. Verify destination objects.
7. Cut over delivery only after verification.
8. Optionally delete source objects after the verified cutover.

If destination verification is unknown or fails, source delivery remains active and source objects are not deleted.
